VPAS 6395 Advanced Studies in Performing Arts Leadership (3 semester credit hours) Examines the operational responsibilities and creative directives of performance venues ranging from nontraditional alternative spaces to specific performing spaces. From distinguishing the variations of performance venues to the specifics of developing and proposing live or virtual performances, public relations, director/producer/agent/performer relationships, and non-profit/for-profit organizational funding mechanisms, this course explores behind-the-scenes activities of professional arts leadership.
