Graduate Certificate in Pediatric Auditory Technology and Habilitation (PATH)
15 semester credit hours
The Graduate Certificate in Pediatric Auditory Technology and Habilitation (PATH) will present speech-language pathology and audiology students with the knowledge and skills necessary to maximize auditory communication for children and families, birth to 21 years, who have communication challenges secondary to hearing loss.
Admission Requirements
The certificate program is intended for current degree-seeking students in the Doctor of Audiology or Speech-language Pathology Master's programs at UT Dallas who have:
- Enrolled for 12 or more academic credit hours
- Earned a grade point average of 3.0 or higher
- Demonstrated satisfactory clinical performance
- Completed a minimum of 9 undergraduate hours of courses in communication disorders.

COMD 7323 Auditory-Verbal Methods
AUD 7324 Seminar in Cochlear Implants and Technology for Persons Who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
AUD 6122 Laboratory Procedures in Audiology and Hearing Science
AUD 7326 Aural Habilitation of Children with Hearing Impairments
AUD 7V98 Directed Study in Audiology and Hearing Science (2 semester credit hours)
Required for AuD students: (3 semester credit hours)
AUD 8V80 Individual Research in Audiology
Required for SLP students: (3 semester credit hours)
COMD 7325 Hearing and Deafness
