SYSM6326 - Systems Lifecycle Cost Analysis

SYSM 6326 Systems Lifecycle Cost Analysis (3 semester credit hours) Emphasis on using concepts to help make the best possible engineering and business decisions in a system's lifecycle. Special emphasis on the analysis and evaluation of alternatives by collectively weighing costs, risks and opportunities, performance, weight, and other benefit/risk parameters. Topics include: total ownership cost, various estimating methods/techniques (sensitivity and risk analysis), cost analysis processes, system trade studies, and cost effectiveness. Development of skills through case studies, significant group projects, and maturing from "concept" into "operations and support". Prerequisite: SYSM 6301. (3-0) R
