PSCI 6345 Values and Ideologies in American Political Behavior (3 semester credit hours) In this graduate seminar, students will undertake a focused study on the role of values and ideologies in shaping political behavior in the United States. Beginning with an extensive review of Philip E. Converse's seminal 1964 study, the course transitions to explore multidisciplinary perspectives on the formation and impact of ideologies. The seminar culminates with a critical examination of the ways in which ideological frameworks intersect with democratic citizenship and societal well-being. (3-0) Y
