OBHR 4339 Human Resource Management Technology and Systems (3 semester credit hours) This course provides a comprehensive understanding of Human Resource Management (HRM), Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), and Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS), including their unique features and functionalities. Students will learn how different roles interact with HRM systems and explore how these systems integrate with HR workflow and the employment lifecycle. Through practical demonstrations, students will gain hands-on experience navigating HRM systems and learn to apply them in employee records, recruiting, performance management, talent management, succession planning, compensation planning, and organizational planning. The course will also examine considerations for scaling and sizing businesses and selecting appropriate HRM technology. Upon completion of the course, students will be equipped with practical skills and knowledge to operate and apply HRM systems in their organizations, enhancing HR processes and driving business success.
