NSC4362 - Molecular Neuroscience
NSC 4362 Molecular Neuroscience (3 semester credit hours) This course focuses on the basic cellular and molecular mechanisms that control neuronal functioning, with an emphasis on the regulation of gene expression via genetic, epigenetic, and molecular signaling mechanisms. Relevant examples will reference regulating cellular excitability, LTP, learning and memory, and psychiatric and neurological diseases. The concept and application of modern molecular neuroscience techniques will also be discussed. Prerequisites: (NSC 3361 or equivalent) and NSC 4352 and CHEM 1311 and CHEM 1312 and BIOL 2311. (3-0) T
