| 7 | JSOM first-time-in-college freshmen are required to take BCOM 1300 in their first semester. Transfer students and students new to JSOM are required to take BCOM 3300 in their first semester. |
| 8 | Free Electives: 9 semester credit hours are required for the B.S. in Healthcare Management. |
| 9 | Healthcare Management Upper Division Guided Electives: 12 semester credit hours from HMGT 4V81, HMGT 4V90, ENTP 3301, ENTP 4320, ITSS 4300, ITSS 4330, ITSS 4340, ITSS 4351, MECO 3360, MECO 3361, MECO 4303, MKT 4331, MKT 4332, OBHR 4300, OBHR 4310, OBHR 4352, OPRE 4310, OPRE 4350, or OPRE 4355. The guided elective courses listed above can satisfy guided elective requirements in prior BS HCMG catalog if not used elsewhere on the student's degree plan. |
| 10 | An Internship (Practicum) of at least 160 working hours is required for all JSOM majors. HMGT 4V90 for up to 3 semester credit hours can apply towards free or guided electives. HMGT 4090 or BA 4090 for 0 semester credit hours will fulfill degree requirement only. Students who are employed in full-time jobs may fulfill their internship requirement with their current employer as a special project for registration in BA 4090 with preapproval from their program director.
