PA 3355 Introduction to the Nonprofit Sector (3 semester credit hours) This course provides a thorough introduction to the trillion-dollar nonprofit sector, which encompasses education, research, healthcare, art, religious congregations, social services, advocacy, legal services, international assistance, foundations, and mutual benefit organizations. The course explores the history of nonprofit organizations in the United States, qualifications for charitable groups and their governance, and various management issues.
