CS 4397 Embedded Computer Systems (3 semester credit hours) Introduction to embedded computer applications and concepts. Real-time operating systems and resource management. Real-time scheduling and communication. Senior data acquisition, processing and fusion. Error handling, fault tolerance, and graceful degradation. System performance analysis and optimization techniques. Includes a project to develop and analyze a small embedded computer application. Prerequisite: (CE 4348 or CS 4348 or SE 4348) or equivalent.
