CPSY7310 - Clinical Psychological Science II

CPSY 7310 Clinical Psychological Science II (3 semester credit hours) Advanced training in the clinical science of intervention, emphasizing the design, evaluation, and dissemination of evidence-based treatments. Engagement with primary research on treatment-outcome designs (including RCTs, dismantling and adaptive trials, and meta-analytic synthesis), empirically supported treatments (ESTs), transdiagnostic and modular approaches, and process-based CBT. Special emphasis on mechanisms of change and active ingredients of therapy, with students critically evaluating mediator and moderator research and applying quantitative methods to intervention data. Addresses advanced dissemination and implementation science, supervision as an evidence-based practice, systems of care, and cultural/contextual adaptations of interventions. Prerequisites: CPSY 7300 and instructor consent required. (3-0) S
