Admission Requirements
In addition to the University's general admission requirements, applicants are required to submit the following materials as part of their application file for holistic admission consideration:

- A statement of purpose/essay.
- A resume.
While not required, applicants can also submit the following items to be considered:

Degree Requirements
The Master of Science in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MSIE) degree is a 36-semester-credit-hour program that prepares students to launch new ventures, drive innovation within established organizations, or pursue careers as investment professionals. The MSIE program structure is 18 credit hours of innovation and entrepreneurship core courses (including 6 hours of a chosen focus area) and 18 credit hours of electives. The core courses lay a strong foundation in innovation and entrepreneurship. Focus areas provide a deeper understanding of either New Venture Development (new startups) or Corporate Innovation (organizational entrepreneurship). The elective courses offer students the opportunity to develop a variety of essential skills necessary to refine their business acumen. To apply for this degree program, an undergraduate degree is required (all majors are considered). Students must maintain a 3.0 grade-point average (GPA) in both business core courses and in all graduate courses taken in the degree program, excluding program prerequisites to qualify for the MS degree.
Prerequisite
Students pursuing the Master of Science in Innovation and Entrepreneurship degree program are required to fulfill one semester credit hour of MAS 6102 Professional Development course. Degree credit is not earned for program prerequisites, however, the grade achieved in prerequisites will count toward the student's grade-point average (GPA). All program prerequisites must be satisfied within the first semester of graduate study.

Overview
The Graduate Certificate in Corporate Innovation focuses on managing innovation within established organizations. It is designed for students who want to complement their technical or functional expertise with the management skills and strategic perspectives needed to successfully drive innovation or launch new businesses within an organization.
One of the listed courses may be substituted with an alternative course with prior approval from the Program Director and Area Coordinator.

Overview
The Graduate Certificate in New Venture Entrepreneurship equips students, regardless of prior entrepreneurial experience, with the knowledge and tools to create and launch a new venture. Courses such as Startup Launch I and II guide students through developing their business ideas and preparing for successful commercialization. Students who already own or manage a business benefit by learning strategies for entering new markets and gaining insight into the venture capital decision-making process.
