CPSY7181 - Clinical Psychological Science Grand Rounds
CPSY 7181 Clinical Psychological Science Grand Rounds (1 semester credit hour) Fosters professional development with a focus on identifying solutions to common challenges in the clinical environment, identify strategies to elicit effective supervision, disseminate information, and change the behavior of clinicians in training to improve patient outcomes. Includes discussion with faculty affiliated with the concentration in Clinical Psychological Science regarding their program of research. Rotating topics include planning a research program, choosing a dissertation committee, identifying career options, presenting work at conferences and in journals, preparing grant proposals, preparing for job interviews, juggling professional and personal life, and recognizing obstacles in career development. Pass/Fail only. May be repeated for credit (5 semester credit hours maximum). Prerequisite: Open only to students completing the Clinical Psychological Science concentration and department consent required. Corequisite: CPSY 7170 or CPSY 7180 or CPSY 7190. (0-1) S
