GEOS4310 - Environmental Geophysics

GEOS 4310 Environmental Geophysics (3 semester credit hours) Explores the use of geophysical methods to solve environmental problems. Geophysical techniques covered include seismic, ground penetrating radar, electrical methods, and well logs. Course includes a hands-on component with survey design, data collection, and data processing. Environmental applications such as hazard assessment, groundwater monitoring, mapping subsurface contaminants, and locating anthropogenic objects are covered. Recommended Prerequisites: GEOS 1103 and GEOS 3351. Prerequisites: (MATH 2413 or 2417) and PHYS 2325. (3-0) T
