GEOS 3351 Mathematics in the Earth Sciences (3 semester credit hours) Applied mathematics for Earth sciences, including the basics of linear algebra, statistics, and uncertainty analysis. Fourier transforms, probability, and the basics of machine learning will also be covered. Applications in Earth science will be emphasized throughout the course.
