MIS6360 - Agile Project Management

MIS 6360 Agile Project Management (3 semester credit hours) Examines Agile Project Management by comparing traditional, hybrid, and agile methodologies, highlighting their advantages, limitations, and appropriate use across a range of organizational contexts. Emphasis is placed on evaluating project characteristics--such as complexity, uncertainty, and risk--to select the most suitable approach. Core agile values and principles are explored in depth, with focused coverage of the Scrum framework, including roles, ceremonies, artifacts, and iterative development practices. Practical application is reinforced through applied exercises, team-based activities, and the use of project management and agile simulation tools, including Microsoft Project, Figma, Jira Software, and SimAgile.
