HCS 6393 (ACN 6393 and CPSY 6393 and PSYC 6393) Assessment and Neuropsychology Principles (3 semester credit hours) Fundamental concepts of cognitive assessment and neuropsychological principles; emphasis on theoretical, psychometric, and empirical foundations of testing; topics include history and applications of assessment; psychometric principles including reliability, validity, and test construction; interpretation of cognitive measures from a lifespan perspective beginning at age five; examination of sociocultural influences on cognitive performance; issues affecting individuals with marginalized identities; contextual factors relevant to test interpretation.
