GISC6368 - GIS Analysis for Real Estate

GISC 6368 GIS Analysis for Real Estate (3 semester credit hours) Explores real estate data further by incorporating more advanced spatial investigation, beyond its application to fundamental real estate theories. What metrics help to reveal preferences for residential housing attributes? What are valuable methods for real estate market segmentation? Where do short-term rentals cluster? What is the potential market share for a business among competitors? GIS is used to execute analysis that reveals insights that help to answer these questions. Analysis results reveal solutions for common real estate problems and illustrate fundamental real estate theories within spatial contexts. Prerequisite: GISC 6381 or GEOS 6381 or equivalent. (3-0) Y
