GEOS5442 - Advanced Sedimentary Petrography

GEOS 5442 Advanced Sedimentary Petrography (4 semester credit hours) Covers petrographic evaluation of sedimentary rocks, with the semester divided into modules on siliciclastic sedimentary rocks and chemical sedimentary rocks. The course features lectures in petrographic methods and instruments, microscope-based laboratory exercises, and a student-led project in sedimentary petrography. Lab fee of $30 is required.
