Focus on microbial pathogenesis, genome analysis, host immune responses, molecular interactions. Literature analysis on bacterial genetics and host defense mechanisms. Experimental approaches for studying microbial genetics, host signaling pathways. Techniques for data collection in infection biology. Use of bioinformatics for genomic and proteomic datasets. Ethical considerations in pathogen handling. Critical evaluation of research gaps in host-pathogen dynamics. Structured group presentations on infection-related projects. Lab fee of $30 required.
