SPAU 2301 Art and Science of Communication (3 semester credit hours) Factors affecting communication and the dynamic nature of how language is used through the lifespan, how words evolve over time, and how symbols cross linguistic barriers in communication. Historic and modern topics in communication, including cognitive, psychological, sociological, and neurolinguistic perspectives of communication and language. Effective use of language in social relationships and the impact of bias, media, and artificial intelligence (AI). (3-0) S
