SOC3385 - Epidemiology and Biostatistics

SOC 3385 Epidemiology and Biostatistics (3 semester credit hours) Explores the fundamental concepts and practices of epidemiology and biostatistics as applied to public health problems. Topics include methods of summarizing and analyzing data; measures of disease frequency (rates, ratios, and proportions); epidemiologic study designs; principles of causal inference; and the application of classical statistical and methodological approaches to describe population health, disease patterns, and risk factors. Prerequisite: EPPS 2302. (3-0) Y
