PA 4336 Civic Engagement and Participation (3 semester credit hours) Surveys modes and trends of civic engagement in the United States. Topics covered include voting, advocacy, community organizing, public service, and running for political office. Describes the role of civic engagement in communities and governing institutions with an emphasis on state and local governments as well as the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and the State of Texas.
