OPRE 4353 Business Analytics (3 semester credit hours) Explore the fundamentals of business analytics, focusing on data-driven decision-making. Topics include understanding of types of analytics, including descriptive, predictive, prescriptive, and diagnostic analytics. Focus will be on essential topics such as data collection, analysis, visualization, and interpretation. Supervised and unsupervised data mining techniques will also be explored. Applications of these methods to real-world business scenarios are covered. Gain hands-on experience with industry-standard software such as MS Excel, PowerBI and Python to enhance your analytical skills and strategic thinking.
