MUSI 3346 Choral/Orchestral Conducting and Musicianship (3 semester credit hours) Professional conducting techniques for choral and instrumental ensembles. Emphasis on gesture-sound relationship, baton and hand technique, score analysis, and foundational musicianship for conductors. Includes historical and philosophical perspectives on the conductor's role and opportunities to conduct vocal and instrumental ensembles. Prerequisite: MUSI 2328 or instructor consent required.
