GEOS 1305 Our Blue Planet (3 semester credit hours) Studies the systems that shape the planet, both on land and under the oceans, including Earth's structure, materials, and surface processes, along with the physical and chemical properties of oceans. Topics include plate tectonics, minerals, rocks, earthquakes, volcanoes, ocean circulation, waves, tides, and human effects on the Earth system.
