DANC 3146 Musical Theatre Dance Performance (1 semester credit hour) Exploration of various choreographic styles and ideas of musical performance. Emphasis on the application of dance techniques in choreography for a musical theater production. Methods may include the choreographic process to enrich the performer's range of technique and expression and encourage understanding of choreographic principles and practices within the musical theater genre. May be repeated for credit as topics vary (8 semester credit hours maximum). Prerequisites: An audition is required for enrollment and instructor consent is required. (0-3) R
