BIOL4358 - Molecular Neurology Lab

BIOL 4358 Molecular Neurology Lab (3 semester credit hours) Lab-based course with experimental techniques relevant to neurodegenerative and general molecular biology research. Basic lab skills and software setup, mouse genotyping, protein quantification, Western blotting, microscopy, data quantification using ImageJ/Fiji, and scientific writing. Hands-on training with emphasis on developing a basic theoretical background needed to interpret data and critically evaluate scientific literature. May be used to fulfill the advanced research requirement for BIMS students. Lab fee of $30 required. Prerequisites: BIOL 2311 and (BIOL 2281 or BIOL 2V81 or equivalent). (1-4) P
