NSC4356 - Neurophysiology
NSC 4356 Neurophysiology (3 semester credit hours) Bioelectricity and the proper function of the human nervous system. Neuronal membrane properties and electrical activity and conduction in neurons. Survey of the active and passive biophysical properties that contribute to membrane potentials and conductance in neurons. Supply the necessary information to understand how single neurons respond to electrical and chemical stimuli and how they conduct electrical signals. Prerequisites: (NSC 3361 or equivalent) and NSC 4352 and (MATH 2413 or MATH 2414 or MATH 2417). (3-0) Y
