MECO 4351 Market Structure and Corporate Strategy (3 semester credit hours) Focuses on firm behavior in imperfectly competitive markets. Analyzes acquisition and use of market power by firms, strategic interactions among firms, and the role of government competition policy. Focuses on the operation of markets and how firms compete within different market structures. Topics include price discrimination, oligopoly, collusion, mergers and acquisitions, etc. Prerequisite: MECO 4303 or ECON 3310. (3-0) Y
