HMGT4324 - Population Health Informatics and Artificial Intelligence
HMGT 4324 Population Health Informatics and Artificial Intelligence (3 semester credit hours) This course focuses on the use and design of informatics using various data warehouses that impact health outcomes. Focus will include informatics that create evidence-based evaluations of healthcare programs for use by policy makers, and preparation of Form 990 and other government entities for use by public and community health advisors. This course exposes students to scenarios necessary to harness the power of AI to optimize health outcomes. Students will be introduced to methodologies, and applications of AI in population health. Designed for healthcare managers/data scientists with a focus on issues related to insurance population management and drug discovery/research. Prerequisite: ITSS 3300. (3-0) S
