PHYS 4395 Cosmology (3 semester credit hours) The course is a simplified overview of contemporary cosmology including: cosmological principle; scale of distance and expansion law of the universe; redshift; Friedmann equations and cosmological models of the universe; cosmological probes and techniques; baryonic matter; dark matter; dark energy and cosmic acceleration.
