STAT 6306 Artificial Intelligence for Human Health with Lab (3 semester credit hours) Supervised learning methods for classification and regression; cross-validation; bootstrap; model selection and regularization; tree-based methods; and neural networks. Unsupervised learning methods including principal components analysis and clustering. Applications to solve research problems related to human health. Deliverables include a project report and presentation. Use of R or Python programming language. May not be used to satisfy degree requirements for graduate programs in statistics and data science.
