CRIM 6320 Mental Health and Crime (3 semester credit hours) Examines the study of people with mental illness, and their relation to crime and the criminal justice system. Topics include the major diagnoses that are typically encountered in the criminal justice system, the epidemiology and etiology of violence by and against people with mental disorders, and prevention and treatment strategies within the criminal justice system for managing special populations.
