COMD5341 - Audiology

COMD 5341 Audiology (3 semester credit hours) Introduction to the profession of audiology. Topics include basic pure-tone and speech audiometry; basic masking principles; cerumen management and infection control; overview of hearing and balance disorders, evaluation, and treatment; clinical application and interpretation in audiology. This course is offered in an online format only. At the discretion of the professor, exams of fully online courses may use proctoring software that requires a webcam scan of the testing area and the recording of all activity during the exam.
