CHEM5375 - Supramolecular Chemistry
CHEM 5375 Supramolecular Chemistry (3 semester credit hours) This course would cover fundamental host-guest chemistry, self-assembly through polymeric materials, and extended solid-state structures (coordination polymers and MOFs). Applications of supramolecular chemistry in the design of molecular machines and synthetic enzyme and protein mimics will also be a major component. The concepts behind practical techniques for characterizing supramolecular complexes and interactions (Job Plots, solution and solid phase spectroscopy, calorimetry, etc.) will also be covered.
