PA 6345 Human Resources Management (3 semester credit hours) Examines theories, principles, and practices of human resources management in public organizations. Explores implications of social and administrative values as expressed in current human resource policies. Attention will be given to the legal, ethical, and cultural environment under which human resource management operates. Topics include selection, hiring, training, compensating, motivating employees, and creating inclusive workplaces. Students will learn about the emerging trends and practices that will affect the way organizations manage their human resources with special emphasis on strategic human resource management and information systems.
