LIT 3324 American Realism and Naturalism (3 semester credit hours) Considers the development of late nineteenth and early twentieth century writers in a society increasingly urban, cosmopolitan, and pluralistic. Writers may include Cooper, Neihardt, Steinbeck, Proulx, Twain, Howells, James, Crane, Dreiser, and Anderson.
