MECH6328 - Frequency-Domain Analysis and Design of Control Systems
MECH 6328 Frequency-Domain Analysis and Design of Control Systems (3 semester credit hours) This course provides an introduction to the frequency-domain analysis tools and design methods for single-input linear feedback control systems, which will be valuable for control system design for practical applications in order to achieve the desirable performance and robustness. The topics covered in this course include: Nyquist stability criterion, stability margins on Nquist plot and Bode plot, Bode's gain-phase relationship, Frequency-domain compensator design, norms of signals and systems, internal stability, uncertainty and robustness, design constraints, loop shaping and design for performance, and model matching.
