HCS 6322 (ACN 6322) Computational Modeling Methods for Language Understanding (3 semester credit hours) Probabilistic methods for modeling natural language understanding and the statistical analysis of language data. Use of the MATLAB and PERL computer languages for instantiating specific knowledge-based computational theories of natural language understanding with a focus on information retrieval and text mining methods.
