NOTES:
1 Incoming freshmen must enroll and complete requirements of UNIV 1010 and the corresponding school-related freshman seminar course. Students, including transfer students, who complete their core curriculum at UT Dallas must take UNIV 2020.
2 Curriculum Requirements can be fulfilled by other approved courses from accredited institutions of higher education. The courses listed are recommended as the most efficient way to satisfy both Core Curriculum and Major Requirements at UT Dallas.
3 Students must complete ALEKS exam prior to enrolling in a 020 core course.
4 If the student took AHST 1303 or 1304 as their 050 core, then the student may choose any free elective in its place as a lower-level major requirement.
5 Free Elective = any lower or upper-level course.
6 Major Core = ARHM 3342, AP 3340, and AP 3300.
7 AHST Elective = any 3000 or 4000-level AHST course.
8 Related Course = any 3000 or 4000-level ARHM, CRWT, HUMA, ISAH, HIST, PHIL, LIT, RHET, or Languages.
9 See advisor for Studio/Ensemble options (vary by semester).
10 V&PA Elective = any 3000 or 4000-level AHST, ARTS, COMM, DANC, THEA, FILM, or MUSI course.
11 Upper-Level Elective = any 3000 or 4000-level course.
12 Lower-Level Prep Course = any 1000 and 2000-level AHST, ARTS, COMM, DANC, THEA, FILM, and MUSI courses.
