VPAS 6360 Documentary Cinema (3 semester credit hours) The class explores current or historic trends in Documentary Cinema. Topics may include the ethics, politics, and aesthetics of documentary representation, the entwined histories of global politics and non-fiction filmmaking, the diverse trajectories of documentary including ethnographic, propaganda, archival, investigative, or poetic forms, and/or questions of documentary authorship and subjectivity. May be repeated for credit as topics vary (9 semester credit hours maximum). (3-0) R
