Incoming freshmen must enroll and complete requirements of UNIV 1010 and the corresponding school-related freshman seminar course. Students, including transfer students, who complete their core curriculum at UT Dallas must take UNIV 2020. |

Curriculum Requirements can be fulfilled by other approved courses from accredited institutions of higher education. The courses listed are recommended as the most efficient way to satisfy both Core Curriculum and Major Requirements at UT Dallas. |

Students must complete ALEKS exam prior to enrolling in a 020 core course. |

Lower-Level Appreciation Course = AHST 1303 or 1304 or 2331 or FILM 2332. NOTE: If the student took one of these courses as their 050 core, then the student may choose any free elective in its place as a lower-level major requirement. |

Lower-Level ARTS Studio = ARTS 1316 or 2316 or 2350 or 2381. |

Major Core = ARHM 3342 and AP 3340 and and AP 3300. |

Free Elective = any lower or upper-level course. |

ARTS Studio = student must have 6 hours of 3000-level ARTS studios and 3 hours of 4000-level ARTS studios. |

V&PA History = any 3000-4000 AHST course or historical FILM course. |

V&PA Electives = any 3000 or 4000-level AHST, ARTS, COMM, CRWT, DANC, THEA, FILM, or MUSI course. |

Related Courses = any 3000 or 4000-level ARHM, HUMA, ISAH, HIST, PHIL, LIT, RHET, or Languages. |

Upper-Level Elective = any 3000 or 4000-level course. |
