Incoming freshmen must enroll and complete requirements of UNIV 1010 and the corresponding school-related freshman seminar course. Students, including transfer students, who complete their core curriculum at UT Dallas must take UNIV 2020. |

Curriculum Requirements can be fulfilled by other approved courses from accredited institutions of higher education. The courses listed are recommended as the most efficient way to satisfy both Core Curriculum and Major Requirements at UT Dallas. |

Students must complete ALEKS exam prior to enrolling in a 020 core course. |

If the student took FILM 2332 as their 050 core, then the student may choose any free elective in its place as a lower-level major requirement. |

Lower-Level Prep Course = any 1000 and 2000-level AHST, ARTS, COMM, CRWT, DANC, THEA, FILM, and MUSI courses. |

Free Elective = any lower or upper-level course. |

ah/visual-and-performing-arts-film = ARHM 3342 and AP 3340 and AP 3300. |

FILM Core = FILM 3321 and FILM 3325 and (6 hours of 3000-4000 FILM courses which may include AHST 3324). |
