SOC 6347 Religion in Public Life (3 semester credit hours) This course examines how religious organizations and the views and values of their members help to shape religious group participation in public institutions and the public policy challenges experienced by these groups. Attention is directed toward social institutions and related policies in the areas of work, education, healthcare, and government, or the legal system. The course considers minority religions, including those of U.S. immigrants, as well as majority religions. (3-0) R
