MECH 5310 Intermediate Dynamics (3 semester credit hours) Review of Newtonian Dynamics. Variational principles. Principle of least action. Lagrange's and Hamilton's equations. Holonomic and nonholonomic constraints. Coupled and uncoupled multi-DOF linear systems. Rigid body dynamics and gyroscopic effects.
