HIST4332 - After the Holocaust

HIST 4332 After the Holocaust (3 semester credit hours) This course explores the issues and challenges facing Jewish people in the aftermath of the Holocaust. It examines the history of the Jewish state, the standing of the Jewish people, debates concerning the future of Judaism, and the crises in Jewish identity, thought and sense of purpose in the world after Auschwitz. Also to be considered are confrontations between Jews and Christians and post-Holocaust issues facing Christendom. Prerequisite: Completion of a 060 core course. (3-0) T
