NOTES:
1 Incoming freshmen must enroll and complete requirements of UNIV 1010 and the corresponding school-related freshman seminar course. Students, including transfer students, who complete their core curriculum at UT Dallas must take UNIV 2020.
2 Curriculum Requirements can be fulfilled by other approved courses from accredited institutions of higher education. The courses listed are recommended as the most efficient way to satisfy both Core Curriculum and Major Requirements at UT Dallas.
3 Indicates a prerequisite class to be completed before enrolling for upper-division classes.
4 A required Major course that also fulfills a Core Curriculum requirement. Semester credit hours are counted in Core Curriculum.

ECON 2301 or BA 1320 fulfills Major Preparatory and 080 Social and Behavioral Science Core Curriculum requirement; MATH 1326, and (ECON 2302 or BA 1320) fulfills Major Preparatory and 090 Component Area Option Core Curriculum requirements. Semester credit hours counted in Core Curriculum.
5 Students may elect to substitute MATH 2413 and MATH 2414 or MATH 2417 and MATH 2419.
6 Students may substitute MATH 2418 or CS 2305.
7 JSOM freshmen are required to take BA 1100 and ACCT 3100. Transfer students and students new to JSOM are required to take ACCT 3200.
8 Students may use up to 6 semester credit hours of graduate level accounting courses to satisfy undergraduate accounting electives if fast-track eligibility requirements are met. Students interested in this option must see the Undergraduate Accounting Program Director or the Associate Area Coordinator for approval.
9 Students admitted to the Professional Program in Accounting will be required to register for a one-credit hour elective in the spring semester of the junior year.
10 CPA Requirements: The following accounting electives may be used to satisfy the 30 Accounting Hours Requirement for the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy: ACCT 3322, ACCT 4336, ACCT 4337, and ACCT 4V80.
11 A practicum experience is required; the student has the option of zero to 3 semester credit hours, depending on the particular internship, and preference for additional electives. Internship requirement MUST be completed by graduation.
12 Free Electives: 4 semester credit hours are required for the B.S. Accounting degree
13 Accounting Guided Electives: 12 semester credit hours from ACCT 3322, ACCT 4336, ACCT 4337, ACCT 4340, FIN 3330, FIN 3360, FIN 3380, FIN 3390, ITSS 4340, ACCT 4301, OPRE 4350, ACCT 4V80.
14 Internship (Practicum) required for all JSOM majors. BA 4090 Management Internship fulfills degree requirements. ACCT 4V80 Professional Internship in Accounting for credit hours (1-3) can apply towards free or guided electives.
15 Community Engagement Experience required for all JSOM majors. Requirement fulfilled by ENTP 4340 Social Sector Engagement and Community Outreach for 3-hour upper level free elective, or BA 4095 Social Sector Engagement and Community Outreach Practicum for degree requirement only.
16 BA 4095 Social Sector Engagement and Community Outreach Practicum is required, if not completing ENTP 4340 Social Sector Engagement and Community Outreach for free elective credit.

Will be registered for BA 4095 in the semester when student completes 100 service hours.
Students admitted to the fast-track program may take up to six (6) semester credit hours of graduate level accounting courses to satisfy undergraduate accounting electives. Students interested in this option must see the Undergraduate Accounting Program Director or the Associate Area Coordinator for approval of specific fast-track courses. Cumulative GPA of 3.4 minimum required for admission to the fast-track program. See Academic Advisor for other requirements.
